Dr. Jason Handza is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment. Fellowship-trained in vitreoretinal surgery, Dr. Handza brings advanced expertise to his practice.
He earned his medical degree with honors from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his fellowship at the University of South Florida Eye Institute, where he trained under leading authorities in retinal surgery and ophthalmology.
Dr. Handza has contributed to numerous research initiatives and recently served as a Co-Investigator for a study evaluating Lucentis®, an innovative treatment for “wet” macular degeneration.
